Terms & Conditions

1. Privacy & Customer Information

By enrolling in a Tamas Mechanical Protection and/or Maintenance Plan, you authorize Tamas Mechanical to collect and use your personal and billing information for the following purposes:

  • Setting up and managing your account

  • Verifying identity and eligibility

  • Providing, dispatching, and scheduling service

  • Processing payments

  • Meeting safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements

We may share necessary information with payment processors and affiliated partners solely for servicing your plan.

2. Member Benefits

Customers enrolled in a Protection and/or Maintenance Plan may receive access to:

  • Exclusive promotions

  • Priority booking (based on plan type)

3. General Terms of Coverage

  • Only repairs and parts authorized by Tamas Mechanical are included.

  • Plan fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Coverage applies only to the service address on file.

  • Plans cannot be transferred to another residence.

  • Pricing or plan terms may be updated with 30 days’ notice.

  • Tamas Mechanical may assign or transfer this agreement to a qualified service provider if necessary.

PLAN COVERAGE DETAILS

4. Heating & Cooling Protection Plans

Plans include:

  • System diagnosis

  • Repair, adjustment, or replacement of eligible components

  • Labour and approved parts defined within the plan

Annual tune-ups or cleanings are not included unless purchased separately.

5. Equipment Eligible for Coverage

Heating Equipment (One Unit Covered)

Eligible:

  • Natural gas furnace

  • Air handler

  • Gas space heater

  • Primary gas fireplace

Not Eligible:

  • Boilers

  • Heat pumps

  • Ductless systems

  • Electric or oil heating systems

  • High-velocity systems

  • Conversion burners

  • Multi-residential equipment

Cooling Equipment (One Standard Central AC System)

Not Eligible:

  • Ductless units

  • Heat pumps

  • Wall units

  • Gas-powered AC

  • High-velocity systems

  • Multi-residential cooling systems

6. Heating Parts Covered

Covered Components include (but are not limited to):

  • Burners & ignition components

  • Gas valves, regulators, pilot assemblies

  • Thermocouples & ignition modules

  • Fan/limit controls

  • Relays, switches, transformers

  • Inducer motor assemblies

  • Pressure switches, rollout switches

  • Blower motors, belts, pulleys

  • Vent damper motors

  • Condensate pumps

  • Low-voltage fuses

  • Standard thermostats

Not Covered:

  • Heat exchangers

  • Heating coils

  • Fireboxes

  • Filters

  • Zone valves

  • Circulating pumps

  • Accessory-related components

7. Cooling Parts Covered

Covered Components:

  • Contactors, relays, capacitors

  • Evaporator coil

  • Condenser fan motor & fan blades

  • Internal copper & wiring

  • Low-ambient sensors

  • Add-on indoor fan relays

  • Standard thermostats

Not Covered:

  • Compressors

  • Condenser coils

  • Furnace/air-handler components (unless included under a heating plan)

ADMINISTRATION & BILLING

8. Plan Activation – 14 Days

Your Protection Plan becomes active 14 days after enrollment, once account verification is complete.

9. Cancellation Policy – 12-Month Term

  • All Protection and/or Maintenance Plans are 12-month agreements.

  • Customers must provide 60 days’ written notice before the end of the term to avoid renewal.

  • Early cancellation requires payment of the remaining balance for the full 12-month plan.

  • If Tamas Mechanical cancels the plan, unused prepaid amounts may be refunded and approved repairs in progress will be completed.

10. Billing & Payments (Updated – Monthly Only)

  • Plans are billed monthly only

  • Payments accepted by credit card only

  • Payment due within 15 days of invoice date

  • NSF or declined payments may result in service fees

  • Interest may apply to overdue balances

  • Changes to address or credit card information require 30 days’ notice

PARTS, AVAILABILITY & LIABILITY

11. Parts Availability

  • If a required part is unavailable, we will attempt to source an approved alternative.

  • If no substitute exists, Tamas Mechanical is not liable for delays or unavailable parts.

  • All replaced components become the property of Tamas Mechanical.

12. Liability Limitations

Tamas Mechanical is not responsible for failures or damages caused by:

  • Fire, flood, or natural disasters

  • Vandalism or theft

  • Incorrect thermostat settings

  • Unauthorized repairs

  • Electrical issues

  • Customer negligence or intentional damage

  • Events beyond our control (force majeure)

Protection Plans do not replace manufacturer warranties and do not include full equipment replacement.

13. Additional Terms

  • Residential homes only

  • Work is performed during regular business hours unless pre-arranged otherwise

  • Replacements, upgrades, or non-covered repairs are billed separately

  • Annual cleaning is not included unless purchased as a maintenance add-on
